Thomas Shaw is a 2022 UT/C, MIF, OF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Aurora, IL who attends Metea Valley. Medium frame with slender, young build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.63 seconds. Leans way back into load at the plate, even base, hovering leg lift, steep entry path that creates downward swing plane, doesn't shift lower half into swing, glides into contact, pull-side approach, wants the ball on the inner half. Plays low to the ground in the outfield, hunches over, fields clean and halts momentum, compact stroke, clocked up to 69 mph on throws. Also threw 69 mph across the diamond, graded out best in the infield, lateral agility is a good tool, solid accuracy across. Very good student.
