Chris Olsen is a 2024 SS/RHP/C/OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Vallejo, CA who attends Salesian College Preparatory. Young and lean frame with room to add strength. Ran a 7.71 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with clean footwork and sound fundamental actions, sees the ball in well and builds momentum in gather with projection to overall actions. Also worked out in the outfield with developing actions to the ball but some carry and accuracy on throws to bags. Behind the dish, has a higher setup with quickness to release but throws off the back foot with developing arm strength. Fills the zone on the mound with some sink to the fastball and shape to a big breaking ball. Right-handed hitter, sets up open, works short to the ball with some intent to the swing, uses mostly hands throughout with some consistency in finding the barrel out front that will improve results as strength is added.
