Justin Vera-Medina is a 2024 3B/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Loyola Academy. Medium size physical frame. Ran an 8.02 60-yard dash. Corner infielder with softer hands fielding out front, not much range, but will catch everything that he can get his glove on. Sets feet and shows and accurate throwing arm with developing arm strength. Strength based swing at the plate with some feel for the barrel. Hit from a square base with leg kick timing at the plate. Level bat path through the zone and showed primarily opposite field contact in BP with some pop that way. Turned on a fastball in game hitting a long home run to his pull side. Has some real feel to hit and puts quality swings on the baseball when he's on time. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
