Andrew Banda is a 2022 3B/RHP, 2B, SS, OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Nuevo, CA who attends Heritage. He ran a 8.41 second sixty. A primary third baseman with a medium build. On the infield he rights the baseball well with good glove presentation out front and the hands receiving the ball well. he showed average carry on his throws with a longer gather shuffling into his throws. In the outfield he waits back on the ball fielding it on the left side of his body and taking a longer gather into his throws with average arm strength and carry to the bases. On the mound he starts with a rocker step and the hands raising above the head as the leg comes up to the belt. he does a nice job maintaining his line to the plate and could still get more out of his lower half. The fastball sat 79-82 mph with occasional sink and tunnels well with the changeup and he throws both for strikes consistently, the slider has more horizontal action while the curveball showed better bite at present from his high three-quarters arm slot. Right-handed hitter, uses the middle of the field at his best with a longer swing path tracks level through the zone and tacks on plane well when the timing allows for the barrel to get out front.
