Maddox Rice is a 2028 SS/RHP, C, OF, UT with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Jefferson, GA who attends Homeschool. Medium, athletic build with time to continue growing and adding strength. Ran a 7.80 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, athletic actions moving around the infield, clean hands and they work out front nicely, quick transfers with ability to throw from multiple angles and showed solid arm strength with more coming in the future. Recorded throws up to 76 mph. Right-handed hitter, upright and open base with a low back elbow in the stance, compact stride and swing, has bat speed and feel for the barrel and caught the ball out front consistently to impact to the pull-side. Secondary right-handed pitcher, belt high leg lift, higher three-quarters slot, lands a bit open at times. Works with a quick tempo and features a two pitch mix. Fastball got up to 77 mph (1962 RPM) and also showed a curveball with usual 11-5 shape, up to 62 mph (1905 RPM). Also worked out behind the plate and showed solid arm strength with accuracy and athleticism coming out of the crouch. Recorded throws up to 71 mph and a pop-time of 2.25. Named to 2024 14u Georgia All-State Games Top Prospect List.
