Jay Carter is a 2026 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-5 225 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic. Extra big and strong well proportioned build. Works from a slow paced delivery with a long off-line arm takeway in back to a 3/4's arm slot, gets extended well down the slope, arm can be late at times, has some energy at release. Fastball sat in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, gets some cut when he's able to get it glove side, will also sink the ball at times with two seam action. Also threw a short slider as his breaking ball. Developing more consistency in his fastball release/command will be key to his taking the next step. Outstanding student.
