Tommy Finley is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Downers Grove, IL who attends Downers Grove North. Large frame with some strength to the build. Ran a 7.33 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, comes to the ball well and fields it slightly off to the side with a clean gather to a long arm action throwing from a lower slot with a slightly uphill release. Also pitches, has a quick delivery and shows good arm speed through a three-quarters slot generating some sink to the fastball while showing feel for both a changeup and a short-breaking curveball. Right-handed hitter, sets up slightly open with high hands and a high back elbow; shows good looseness to his hands and length to the swing with good control of the barrel allowing him to generate line drive contact to the middle and back side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
