Carter Kurtz is a 2027 C/RHP/IF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Roswell. Lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.86 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a wide stance, has good fundamentals and repeats them well, gains ground into his throws and makes accurate throws with developing arm strength, can keep working on his lower half life and agility. Also worked out in the infield. Left handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a closed off stance, opposite field approach that he executes well, finds soft barrels consistently. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a leg raise and coil to start his delivery, gets down the mound well, compact arm swing to a 3/4's arm slot. Threw strikes with a three pitch mix and had an idea what he was doing. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, slider was a good pitch with some tilt, killed the spin well on his change up. Just needs to keep getting stronger. Excellent student.
