2025 Scorpions (TX) Prospect Showcase (2026-2027 Grads)
Luke Douglas is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Concordia Lutheran. Big and physical build with good present strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a side step delivery. Balanced at gather and created good downhill plane while working to the zone. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball can out of hand cleanly with the ability to locate to each edge, topped at 80 mph. Curveball had 1/7 shape with tight spin and late break in the upper 60's. Slider sweep well to glove side and matches arm speed well. Also flashed a changeup offering in the mid 70's that produced good fade to arm side. Very good four pitch mix. Worked out defensively from firstbase showing smooth paced footwork while moving to the ball and making pivots. Displayed good feel for glove and created accurate carry across the infield at 83 mph. At the plate used a wide, open stance. Moves into contact well with location half. Present bat speed through the zone with a naturally leveraged barrel plane. Aggressively turns the barrel to contact and can generate very loud contact with good carry to pull side. Excellent student.
