Kelby Barnett is a 2028 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Hixson, TN who attends McCallie School. Athletic build with good present strength. Primary first baseman with good fundamental footwork and soft hands out in front. Stays under control well and had throws across up to 80 mph. Also threw 84 mph from the mound. Simple operation and stays over center well. High three-quarters arm slot and showed a full three pitch mix. Curveball has big shape to it and the changeup has good arm side action. Right-handed hitter with an even base and gets the front foot down early. Flashed some big impact to the pull side and being able to be consistent and repeatable with the swing is the next step. Great student.
