Ty Murray is a 2025 SS/RHP/C with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Labelle, FL who attends Labelle. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and some present strength, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet with sound footwork to either side, works behind the baseball well and hands play both forehand and backhand; strong arm across the diamond with carry. Also caught, lower set up behind the plate and pops tall out of crouch, can implement additional lower half into gaining ground on release, some length to arm action through back but quick and shows strength/carry on throws down to second. Side step into a belt high leg lift on the mound, full arm action through the back working to a higher three-quarters release point. Limited lower half drive down the mound but arm strength stands out, up to 86 mph and projects well; mixed a curveball with 11-5 shape and nice depth, maintains arm speed on release and turned over a quality changeup in the low-70s. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide and even base in the box, medium hand set with a high back elbow. Shorter and quick stroke through the zone, can unlock additional strength with more extension out front, looks to lift at the point of contact and shows comfort working to the pull side. Named to the Sunshine East Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
