Maddox Porter is a 2029 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Murfreesboro, TN who attends Ensworth. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, plays back on the ball, some bend at waist and remains compact with release on throws across the diamond, glove plays well out front, accurate throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Shows quickness to turns and footwork around the first base bag, accurate throws across the diamond with some carry on throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a wide base; handsy swing and does a nice job of staying direct to the ball with plenty of quickness in them. Works on a linear path through the zone and shows the ability to already generate backspin at the point of contact; can elevate the ball and create juice to the pull side. Turns the barrel over well, gets the lower half going in swing well. Very good student.
