Taiyo Takahashi is a 2023 SS/2B/UT with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Lincoln, NE who attends Lincoln Southwest. Lean athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.50 runner in the sixty. Has active feet on defense in the middle infield and shows nice lateral range to both sides, hands were soft and early to the ball, made accurate throws with a smooth and quick release, polished defender with balance and actions. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight wide stance with a limited stride into contact, shows good bat speed with a mid field to pull side approach, takes an aggressive swing with intent and got nice hard jump off the barrel. Good student. Named to the Kansas City Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
