Zachary Konkel is a 2027 3B/RHP/SS with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Mondovi, WI who attends Mondovi. High waisted build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium closed stance with a comfortable hand load, has a short and direct swing path with lots of present bat speed, uses his lower half well to generate torque, worked gap to gap with big jump off the barrel, was well timed and squared up everything, big hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.41 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, plays tall to the ball but gets the glove down on time and fields it cleanly, has some rhythm to his actions, arm strength still developing but has the fundamentals down well. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a medium leg raise and turn at the top, long stride down the mound with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 75 mph and was mostly straight. Still developing feel for his curveball, also flashed a firm change up. Bat is his tool. Good student. Named to the PG Minnesota Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
