Bengie Del Nodal is a 2029 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Medium young athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 6.94 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, is an athletic mover to both sides, very good footwork and foot quickness, has nice arm strength for his age and makes very accurate throws even when off balance and on the move, has all the defensive actions to continue developing. Also worked out in the outfield and showed his arm strength well with the same accuracy. Right handed hitter, sets up in a comfortable stance with a short and well timed swing, has quick hands and the strength to turn the barrel, showed his power well in the game with mostly pull side contact. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a side step start and a high 3/4's arm slot, well controlled and repeatable mechanics. Filled up the zone with a low 80's fastball with some carry up in the zone and a sharp biting slider that he located well down. Named to the PG Miami Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
