Logan Herbert is a 2029 RHP/C/IF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Cooper City, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Medium current frame with excellent musculature, the type of frame that projects well as a primary position pitcher. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.67 seconds. Primary position RHP, working with a waist high leg lift, before working in a clean line down the mound. Turns hard in the core to generate arm speed and accelerates through a high 3/4 arm angle. Strides a tough crossbody creating some natural cutting action on the fastball that peaked at 81 mph. Two quality secondary offerings, with a two-plane curve in the upper-60s and flashed a fading changeup to LHHs. Both off speed pitches generated swing and miss. Plenty to look forward to here. Reps in the outfield and on the infield showing pretty good footwork and overall mobility. Controls body well and displayed feel for angles in his reps. Presented the glove out front well with accuracy leading to clean midline transfer. Arm played well here too with throws of 82 to 83 mph back to infield and across the diamond. RHH working from a medium stance and standard handset to get things started. Had some timing issues throughout the round but found the barrel late. Rotational overall operation and when on time and in the middle of the field showed his best bolts. Outstanding student as well.
