Hobbs Dunne is a 2022 SS/3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Elwood, IL who attends Joliet Central. Large, square shouldered frame with long limbs and some present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball with two hands closer to body, extra step moving through the ball and shows off arm strength and carry on throws across, high energy release, fuller arm action through the back, has carry on throws for the left side. Left-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a lower hand set at the plate, utilizes a simple rock back load in the box. Repeats swing well and shows a handle for the barrel, able to work to all fields with comfort. Short finish through the point of contact, shows the ability and comfort driving the ball to pull side, consistent line drive contact and carry off of the barrel, projects well physically and will continue to unlock more power.
