Roman Martinez is a 2026 OF/RHP/SS with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Laredo, TX who attends United South. Nice athletic build with good present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, has a comfortable load and consistent timer and moves into the ball well with his lower half, hands work well with present bat speed and good extension through contact, mostly pull line drive contact and can drive the ball with some carry on his pitch, projectable hitting tools with a solid base to continue to grow into. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, showed fundamentally sound footwork into the fielding process and gathered cleanly out in-front. Maintained momentum well into release and delivered accurate throws up to 86 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with deliberate pace and fairly good lower half movements down the slope. Ran the fastball up to 87 mph, maintained the low-to-mid 80s throughout from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in short, top to bottom curveball with spin rates into the 2500 RPMs, throws it with conviction and for strikes. Very good student. Exciting two-way talent with projection and upside remaining. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect List.
