Jase Pierson is a 2027 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Grand Oaks. Long and lean high waisted athletic build, projects well physically. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with a short stride into contact, deep hand load, has some hand strength, tends to lag the barrel through the zone, downhill swing path, best contact to the opposite field, has the strength and levers to improve as a hitter. 7.49 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, showed solid actions around the bag with clean turns and pivots, quick release on his throws with some arm strength for the position. Also pitched, works from a full side step wind up from the first base side, arm works well, gets downhill from a standard 3/4's arm slot Fastball topped out at 80 mph, showed a full array of secondary pitches. Curveball had short downer break, got under a slider but created some spin and sweeping depth, also showed some feel for his change up. Has a chance to develop on the mound with additional strength. Good student.
