Maxzell Mathis is a 2028 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-9 137 lb. frame from Gibsonton, FL who attends East Bay. Features a smaller, wiry build. Ran an 8.10 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and in the outfield. Flashed athleticism from both spots. Showed a quick arm action into a 3/4 release in the outfield. Shows clean hands on the infield with the ability to work through hops. Can make the routine play consistently. Reached 78 mph across the diamond and 75 mph from the outfield. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wider base stance. Swings on a short, uppercut path. Looks to lift balls to the pullside often. Continuing to add strength will allow for more impact off the barrel. Right-handed pitcher. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a medium length arm action. Repeats the delivery well. Predominantly fastball usage. Offering sat 70-75 mph. Pairs it with a developing, low-60’s curveball. Stays around the zone, resulting in efficient outs.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
