2025 PG California Workout Showcase (Sunday)
Izayah Najera is a 2028 C/INF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Norco HS. Started the event off clocking 7.67 60-yard dash. A primary catcher, secondary infielder. Showed a comfortable side-saddle set up behind the plate along with a knee down option. Good receiver with quick transfer. Consistently on the bag with developing arm speed and short arm action with some carry to the bag. Traditional, balanced stance at the plate and high back elbow and hands. Has a toe turn trigger and stays compact, staying on a direct path with an up the middle approach. Showed consistent barrel control with gap to gap juice and intent in the swing path Excellent Student.
