Chase Vong is a 2027 OF/C with a 5-11 173 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Valley Christian Schools. Features a medium sized build with some athleticism. Ran a 6.98 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed quality actions. Works low to the ground in his approach. Glove sets early where he fields it clean and out front. Slight reset/reshuffle of feet before throws. Some stiffness to the arm that got off downhill throws that were 1-2 hop accurate to the bag with avg. strength for his level. Behind the plate works from a low side saddle. Some flexibility to the movements but with avg. quickness/explosion out the crouch. Showed a quality/compact exchange. Similar arm action/strength as OF. At the plate, works from an even base. Uses a smaller lift as the hands work the barrel on a more compact "down and through" path. Gets off his swing with ease. Showed good feel for the barrel, producing quality contact throughout both his rounds, mostly LDs into the gaps. Stays balanced and behind it consistently.
