Christian Vanostrand is a 2027 C/RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from New Caney, TX who attends New Caney. Athletic, lean build with room for more size and strength down the line. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, traditional stance, works under the ball, developing arm strength, repeats footwork with clean exchanges, accurate throws around the bag, should continue to improve here. Secondary right-handed pitcher, short takeaway in the delivery, high three-quarters release with slight over the top action, deeper hip hinge, steep release, developing shape on the curveball, has some feel for the change-up and it plays well off the heater. Right-handed hitter, slightly open and even base, some barrel wrap, hands load high, some bat speed to work with and project upon, should improve.
