Abel Santiago is a 2026 RHP/1B, SS with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends North Cobb. Ran a 7.11 second sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher with a long projectable pitchers body. Starts with a side step into a higher leg lift on the mound with a slower pace to the delivery as he gets to his balance point and works on a direct line to home plate with his drive down the hill. Arm works on a medium arm circle through the back to a high three-quarters arm slot getting across his body at the release at times. Fastball sat 67-71 mph with mid 1700 RPM's on the spin rate and some cutting action when he gets on the side of it. Mixed in a curveball as well in the low 60's with young spin traits and depth throwing it with spin rates in the mid 1800 RPM range. Fields the ball on the side in the outfield as he works into it with some young actions. Showed developing arm speed onto. throws with accuracy to the bases. Took a clean round on the infield with developing footwork. Does a nice job getting the ball out cleanly and made accurate throws from each spot with a lower arm slot. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open base not getting back to even each time with his load and stride. Flashed some pop to the pull side when the barrel gets extended out front while create loft through the hitting zone with the swing path. Named to the 2022 13U/14U Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
