Evan Skobel is a 2026 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Wilmington, NC who attends New Hanover. Big and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight bent knee stance, gets into his legs and lower half well, loads his hands away from his body, has some loft in his swing, strength based swing with some jump off the barrel and more power to come. Primary first baseman on defense, moves well laterally for his size, soft hands picking the ball, gets rid of the ball quickly on his transfers with good arm strength for the position, solid overall defensively. Power development will be the key. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
