Matthew Perez is a 2025 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge High School. Medium, lean build. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, later glove presentation on reps, developing feel for the backhand, arm works with efficient slot and accurate throws across, athletic play on the charge and good throw across the body, looked comfortable roaming the infield dirt. Secondary outfielder, compact arm slot, little lower half involvement on throws, lot of arc on the throws, low tempo and intent round. Right-handed hitter, rotational swing, minimal stride out, little separation, high hands, high back elbow, tied up some, short and direct to the baseball with limited pull side impact. Solid defender who will improve in the box with fluidity and strength added onto the swing.
