Taylor Markakis is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Kings Ridge Christian. Medium, high waisted frame with lean muscle throughout and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.43 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a sound defensive skill set and developing arm strength. Comes and gets the baseball with aggressiveness, fields properly off his front foot and maintains some momentum into his throws. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a higher leg lift into balance and medium stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s throughout his out and topped out at 76 mph from a loose three-quarters arm slot in this look. Showed the ability to effectively use all four quadrants of the strike zone, while flashing a developing breaking ball with varying shape to it. Will continue to improve with minor mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter with a slightly elongated swing path and developing feel for the barrel. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to create torque and bat speed, while showcasing a middle-of-the field approach. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
