Ian Chafin is a 2027 SS/2B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford. Slender athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, plays with quick feet and has lots of range, takes good routes to the ball, quick and flexible hips, hands work well at the ball, can play on the run, arm strength still develop and may end up at second base. Right handed hitter, hits from a medium base with a hanging leg lift load, short inside swing path, middle of the field high contact approach, bat speed will continue to improve as he adds strength and gets into his lower half more. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
