Colin Szonyi is a 2027 OF/RHP/1B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Florham Park, NJ who attends Hanover Park. Medium, high-waisted build with plenty of room and time to add more strength. Primary outfielder, stays low as he works through the baseball and fields it cleanly off of his front foot. Displayed developing footwork and athleticism in the outfield. Separated into a deeper arm path before releasing the ball from a high three-quarters slot. Delivered fairly accurate throws while recording arm strength up to 80 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery with a coiled leg lift up to the belt and a three-quarters release. Creates good extension as he gets over his front-side and works downhill. Fastball showed arm-side run with some late sinking action, ultimately peaking at 81 mph. Mixed in an 11-5 curveball with good depth to it. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even stance with a high hand set-up and high back elbow. Shifts his weight into impact with intent as he works into an uphill bat path. Flashed some strength in the barrel along with the ability to work the entire field. Displayed developing bat speed and barrel control. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 71 mph. Ran a 7.61 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
