Diego Gonzalez is a 2022 LHP with a 5-11 162 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Sunshine State Elite Academy. Medium athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from a high leg raise delivery with a long and loose arm action in back, extended 3/4's arm slot, lower half will get out in front moving down the mound at time. Fastball worked in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph, gets some sink and run and works the fastball well to the arm side. Slider was a quality second pitch that he had feel for, threw it to both sides of the plate and had the ability to add and subtract, strike thrower with both pitches who stayed off barrels. Rare change up still developing. Fielded his position well. Advanced pitchability is best tool at present.
