Easton Shortle is a 2026 C/OF with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from Seal Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Strong and compact build, pretty mature physically. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with a small leg raise and stride into contact, busy hands in his load with some barrel tilt, has strength in his swing and can create jump off the barrel when he's out front and pulling the ball, stays balanced well and does hit to all fields, solid all around hitting tools. 7.87 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has good lower half actions and moves well into his throws, repeats his actions and footwork and makes accurate throws, exchange and release. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
