Augie Ferrell is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Hampton, IL who attends Assumption. Medium sized frame with good athleticism and evident strength in the frame. Primary outfielder who charges with absolute intent and fields it cleanly to his side well. Has quick feet and is aggressive to the ball. Works through it well and moves athletically. Has a strong arm with good carry and accuracy. Was up to 83 from the outfield. Ran a 7.07 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Uses a small toe lift and stride for timing and rhythm. Standard handset as they load back a good bit. Swing will get long and loopy at times which messes with timing. Showed good bat speed and good ability to impact the baseball when on plane and on the barrel. Swing should continue to get better with time. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot out of the stretch. Showed pretty good arm speed and action and worked up to 80 with his fastball. Went to a depthy 12-6 breaking ball that he could spin and drop in. Showed good overall feel off the bump and should continue to improve in this area. Good student. Named to the TP List.
