Wyatt Trefz is a 2030 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-2 97 lb. frame from Missouri City, TX who attends Logos Prep. A compact and lean frame with a wiry build. Room to continue filling out and adding strength moving forward. Ran an 8.62 60-yard dash. Primary infielder who worked out at the position, throwing 64 mph across the diamond. He showed active footwork to the baseball and flashed the ability to keep throws on target to first base. He had a feel for the range working up the middle. Also worked out as a catcher, showing a side-straddle stance with some feel for the transfers and some quickness getting into his throws. He showed some feel to gain ground and was able to keep throws lower and on-line with the target. Throws were at 63 mph with a 2.39 pop time. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a squatted/hunched stance, and a functional swing working through contact. He showed a feel to throw the barrel head and be on time with the barrel. He had some intent to his actions, with a clean setup overall. He worked uphill through the zone. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, setting up on the middle of the rubber, with a chest-high leg kick that gets to the back shoulder. Showed drop and drive mechanics, staying closed, working down the slope. He had a longer arm action, with some extension through release, working from a three-quarters arm slot. He was in the zone with his pitches, showing a fastball that worked 63-67 mph with spin in the 1,900s. He also flashed a breaking ball with 11-5 shape and depth to it. Also turned over a couple of changeups around the upper-50s with developing shape. Showed projectable actions on the mound with traits to like moving forward.
