Austin Leipart is a 2028 3B/RHP with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Joliet, IL who attends Providence Catholic. Lean young athletic build with lots of time and room to get stronger. 7.36 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense who also shows potential on the mound. 7.36 runner in the sixty. Moves well side to side defensively, clean glove work out front, short and compact arm action with nice carry across the diamond, solid overall feel for his actions. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly spread stance with a strong shift into his swing, loads his hands deep, has some developing hand quickness and bat speed with gap to gap contact. Works from a full wind up on the mound with a long and loose arm action, high 3/4's arm slot with some downhill angle and extension through release, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball was in the low 80's with some run and sink. Curveball was a good pitch with 11/5 shape and some biting action. Also threw a fading change up. Mixed his pitches well and threw strikes. Excellent student.
