Mateo Villanueva is a 2026 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Coronado. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, features a longer, lean, athletic frame with a strong lower half that projects. Has a medium leg lift into a drop and drive delivery, getting on top and working downhill. Arm is quick and loose and the ball jumps out of the hand. Throws out of a high three-quarter arm slot and hides it well. Low effort delivery, staying balanced and repeats it. Fastball has arm side run and solid spin (2200+ RPM). Curveball is the go to pitch with 11-5 shape, staying firm with late depth and he can spin it (2500+ RPM). Clean operation throughout with more velocity to come. Named to 2024 PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List. Good Student.
