Michael Iammatteo is a 2026 1B/LHP with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Oyster Bay, NY who attends St. Anthony's. Slender young high waisted build. Left handed hitter, starts from a narrow open stance with a low leg raise trigger and positive weight shift into his swing, repeats his mechanics well, pull to mid field contact, creates some back spin, nice swing mechanics to develop if he can get stronger. 7.39 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, worked through the ball well and had clean fielding action, fielded under control, changed slots well and made accurate throws, solid overall defensive actions. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a controlled leg raise start and good extension down the mound and through release, mostly low 3/4's slot but will vary it at times. Fastball was in the upper 70's with some cutting life. Change up was a good pitch with fading life and replicated the fastball well. Developing feel for his curveball. Good student.
