Yariel Negron is a 2025 SS/2B/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Guanica, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet with coordination and balance to actions, hands play well both to the forehand and backhand, accurate throws across the diamond with carry and accuracy, showed well on the charge play as well with ability to drop slot on release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a medium and even stance in the box, barrel tilt in set up, loads hands back at start of swing. Does a nice job of remaining direct to the baseball with hands, stays short and inside the ball, can generate additional extension out front, looks to lift at the point of contact. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
