Zaylon Johnson is a 2029 3B/UT with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Lake Charles, LA who attends Alfred M. Barbe. Johnson ran a 7.82 Sixty Yard Dash. Primary corner infield that presents a medium athletic build with some present strength throughout. He showed range laterally in the infield receiving the ball softly with quicker glove to hand transfers. Zaylon showed feel for the front hand and backhand catching them both out in front receiving them cleanly. He presented a strong arm across the diamond which topped out at 82mph on the throws with accuracy to them. Didn't pitch in the event but has been up to 88 mph this summer with a wipeout breaking ball. Right handed hitter in the box with a wide slightly open base at the start. Utilizing a toe tap trigger creating some rhythm in the hands while presenting a longer path through the zone driving the ball to the middle and left side of the field. Johnson showed some strength at impact with very projectable actions in the box. He is an excellent student in the classroom.
