KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Ella Henderson is a 5'1, class of 2023 2B/C, OF, UT from Lakeville, MN who attends Rosemount HS. Ella is an obviously experienced, veteran upper class player who has a sound fundamental approach. She ran a 3.57 20-yard dash with a 1.17 5-yard split. A primary infielder, Ella shows a sound approach to her defensive game. She shows solid actions that are probably more suited to 2B. Her footwork is commendable and she positions well. Her glove is easy and smooth and her 52-mph throws are firm and accurate. Her ability to throw from different platforms will really play well at second base. Nice effort. Like her poise. At the plate, Ella is even at the ready and has a noticeably open stance. She has a strong rotational element to her operation and is very aggressive. Her swing is sound and her desire to drive the ball is obvious. More pull side with her path. When on time and on plane. she can strike the ball. Ella has a solid overall make-up. She is calm and plays within her abilities. Her defensive game is especially impressive and her offensive game can get there. With two years of HS and travel ball in front of her, Ella has a lot of upside promise. Great approach. Sound effort!
