Rhett Lopez is a 2029 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-9 168 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Centennial. Smaller build. Primary middle infielder, with clean funnel into max effort effort throws. Over the top release produces solid strength. Good range and soft hands present. Shows the pocket on time and carries momentum through the fielding point. In the outfield, he fields out front with high three-quarters uphill release. Moves well and shows feel for the spot even as a secondary. Right-handed hitter, narrow base, open stance, and high back elbow. Swinging it hard with rotational bat speed. Level swing with length through impact. Line drive oriented approach with hard impacts through the middle of the field. On the mound, its a stretch only delivery. with medium length arm stroke to a three-quarters release. Plenty of feel to pitch and sequence. Lower effort operation produced a lot of quality strikes. 7.78 60-yard. Outstanding student.
