Erik Herrera is a 2025 1B/3B with a 5-11 215 lb. frame from Pharr, TX who attends Psja North. Primary 1B with a physical frame with present strength. Showed quality cornerlike actions during workouts. Good footwork working around the ball. Some arm strength behind his throws with good accuracy. Moves well to his backhand but range is limited and will keep him on the corner. Has a good enough arm to make throws on time with accuracy. Was up to 80 from the infield. Also pitched throwing from a low 3/4 slot. Stay inline well and gets downhill a good bit. Fastball worked up to 81 with late ASR life to it. Went to a slider with lateral bite and missed bats. Right-handed hitter with an even base and low handset. Uses a rhythmic leg lift and rock back into stride for timing. Creates space and leverage at times but will need to be more consistent with his bat path and getting on plane more. Power projects more than anything here as there is legitimate strength at impact.
