Jace DeLatte is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-8 152 lb. frame from Kenner, LA who attends Jesuit. Shorter athletic build with some compact strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, sets up slightly open with a short well-timed toe tap trigger, has good rhythm in his hands, creates barrel whip and some young bat speed, controlled the barrel very well with solid all fields contact, very good game swings. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has a quick first step and has soft hands fielding, good feel for his glove work, solid arm strength with developing accuracy, plays best on the move. Also worked out in the outfield with similar athleticism and arm strength. Took a turn on the mound, has a big leg raise and coil to start his delivery, gets down the mounds well and repeats his mechanics. Filled up the strike zone primarily with his fastball and pitched to contact, fastball topped out at 78 mph with some run arm side and cut glove side. Also threw an occasional soft curveball. Very good student. Named to the PG Deep South HS All-State Games Top Prospect List.
