Devin Long is a 2026 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral. Larger, well-proportioned frame with long levers and plenty of time to fill out. Recorded a 7.49 second sixty-yard dash time. Showcased deliberate, smooth actions during the outfield portion of the defensive workout. Stays behind the baseball well, gathering cleanly off his front foot and maintains momentum into release. Worked into a longer, full arm action to throw and produced accurate throws up to 85 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Loose, slightly lofted stroke with longer swing path and some leverage out in-front. Middle-of-the field approach with consistent line drive impact and some feel for the barrel. Flashes power potential to the pullside, as he displayed the ability to get the barrel out at times, will continue to improve with more lower half engagement and some minor refinements mechanically. Immensely projectable, young prospect with tons of room to add strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
