2021 National Underclass South Showcase
Caleb Hines is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-1 162 lb. frame from Edmond, OK who attends Oklahoma Christian. He ran a 7.57 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a long lengthy build. On the mound he worked from the stretch only with a coil at the top of the leg lift maintaining his balance as he comes down the mound throwing from an over the top slot with flashes of command when the arm is on time and out front. The fastball sat 79-81 mph throwing mostly to the glove side with effectiveness while mixing in a downer curveball with bite and a changeup sparingly in the low 70's. In the outfield he comes and gets the ball well showcasing some solid arm strength that plats with accuracy to the bases topping out at 87 mph. On the infield he showed firm hands with developing actions as he works to and through the ball making strong throws with young accuracy. Right-handed hitter, showed some quickness in the hands with a linear bat path as the ball comes off well working best from the middle to pull side with firm rotation getting the entire body involved in the swing. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List.
