Zane Burns is a 2025 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Chandler. High waisted frame. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.16 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a tall and fall delivery, has a quick tempo that gets down hill well. Has a short, quick arm circle, repeats his delivery well, throws strikes and attacks hitters early. Hides the wall well throughout the delivery, the fastball 75-83 mph with arm side run, mixed in a curveball that sat 70 mph with a slurve action. Worked out in the outfield, came to the ball well, showed smooth glove actions cleanly working through the ball. Was clocked up to 85 mph on throws from the outfield. Also took some infield, showed athletic actions, moves well to both sides of the ball, has smooth hands with a quick transition. Was comfortable throwing from different arm slots with good carry. At the plate, hits from a slightly open stance with a top tap trigger, has a middle approach consistently making weak contact. Excellent student. Was named to the National Underclass West Showcase Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
