Joseph Schade is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Huron, OH who attends Huron. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.13 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, up-tempo operation, shorter restricted stride over front side, hides the ball well through the back, fastball worked 75-77 mph with good carry through the zone, creates some angle, showed curveball with depth and slider with good tilt, flashed a changeup as well, threw strikes. Hits from even-based stance, swings with intent, balanced and strong through swing, consistent barrel and timing skills, gap to gap with carry, could get into lower half more and have more of an aggressive approach in-game. Worked out at 1st base, hands work out front, solid around the bag, throws from multiple slots with accuracy. Good student.
