Makai Moody is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Malibu, CA who attends Agoura. Medium frame with some physicality to the build. Ran a 7.66 second 60-yard. Primary right-handed pitcher, only pitched at this event. Short side step start, lifts to the belt and coils some, strides down the mound well. Works through a three-quarters slot with a shorter release, hides the fastball well and allows the velocity to play up, worked up to 83 mph in this look with some ride to it. Showed feel for both a curveball and slider, curveball is a bit ahead at present with good depth and shape out of 11-to-5, slider has shorter depth and could project well. Threw a good amount of strikes and competed with three pitches. Good student.
