2025 PG Jr. National Showcase
Jesse Garza is a 2027 RHP/3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Pharr, TX who attends PSJA. Lean athletic build with some well proportioned present strength and more to come. Has a loose arm on the mound from a mid to low 3/4's arm slot and repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, showed the ability to both spot it glove side or run it in hard on right handed hitters. Curveball tunneled with his fastball well, deep two-plane shape to it, throws it confidently and lands it for strikes while throwing it at any count. Overall solid feel for pitching with a path to improvement. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Secondary third baseman on defense, has deliberate actions to and through the ball, fields it deep, arm is his best defensive tool. Left handed hitter, sets up slightly open with a short stride into contact, has some bat speed and strength to pull side when he gets the barrel out and gets extended, will roll over some. Good student.
