Derrick Carley Jr is a 2030 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from New Orleans, LA who attends John Curtis Christian. Medium frame with an athletic young build. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. On the mound, staggered start on the 3B side with a short side step into a belt-high lift, mixes his lifts with a double pump to disrupt timing. Quick arm from a 3/4 slot and worked with confidence. Fastball was 78-80 mph T80. Broke off a 65 mph breaking ball with sweep and depth and used it as a put-away pitch. In the outfield, fields off the front foot and plays under control with a sound approach. Keeps throws low and on line and showed 85 mph arm strength. Worked in the infield with soft hands and effort through the ball, showed 83 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter with barrel tilt and quick hands.
