2025 PG Class of 2028 All-American Games
Ashton Hopkins is a 2028 LHP/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Jasper, AL who attends Jasper. Compact athletic build with good present strength. Works exclusively from the stretch from the middle of the rubber, Gets down the mound well to a 3/4's arm slot, some energy through release. Threw both two and four-seam fastballs with corresponding action, topped out at 87 mph. Slider was his best pitch, showed 2700+ rpm spin rates and good depth and sweep, was effective to both side hitters. Also took off and shortened up the breaking ball for more of a curveball effect. Worked out in the outfield and showed his arm strength well, made accurate low throws, moves well to the ball. Left handed hitter, sets up in a balanced upright base with a rock back load and short stride into contact, rotational short swing with pull to mid field line drive contact, handled the barrel well in games. Good student. Named to the PG Class of 2028 All-American Games Top Prospect List.
